One Question Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It is my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

Kentuckians have been known to shout out, “I bleed blue!” in support of their sports teams. We lived in Kentucky for a total of four years and witnessed this devotion first hand.
Environmentalists might rally the cry, “I bleed green.”

Americans, especially on days like today, Patriot Day, have been known to espouse, “I bleed red, white and blue.”

And so now the question bounces your way…

Finish the sentence:
I bleed _______. (and PLEASE, as always give a reason for your answer.)

  5. I bleed prayer. When someone pokes or hurts me, although my first reaction is to pity myself or get mad at the offender, eventually I go to the Lord and ask Him to bless the other person and give me wisdom.
But not only when I'm poked do I pray; I try to make prayer a habit.
I love this Friday Question you have; it's one of my favorite bloggy items!

  9. I bleed red. It's the color of the blood of my King. It's the color of the words spoken by Him in my Bible--and I bleed Bible all over the place.

  10. This time of year, only two colours. Red and gold, San Francisco 49er's until I die.

Maybe I'll even see another Super Bowl before then, maybe? :)))

  13. I like Ronnica's answer above. I was born a Sooner fan. I've been converted by my husband to bleed purple, though, for Kansas State. Bottom line is, we don't have to bleed because Jesus already did that for us.

  14. Does it have to be a color?

I bleed words. Because they come out of me when I am damaged and they don't stop until there is a scab.

  16. No rules here on Fridays, other than my asking for an explanation and the why behind the answer.

This might be a good place to remind everyone how much I enjoy reading your answers. I refrain from commenting on Fridays/weekends because I don't want to influence comments. I love reading your thoughts, raw as they come.

  22. Well...these past two days, I've been bleeding a lot of stress and self-pity. Maybe I ought to do like doctors in the olden days and slap some leeches on my soul and get rid of that slop.

I'd like to bleed grace, but while I'm quick to receive it, I'm not always quick to give it away. I suppose I could say I aspire to bleed grace. I aspire to bleed joy and patience and self-control and all those other wonderful fruits of the spirit.

Usually, I bleed passion. Whatever it is - whether I'm angry, or loving, or laughing, or crying....I do it all passionately. Sometimes this is good. Sometimes not.

  23. I bleed tears.
I learned early in my life that crying was "bad"...that it made you less than desirable...that it was weakness.
It took me many years to get over that...to find a way to not believe the voice that screams "weak!!" when the first tear escapes my eyes. BUT, even having gotten to a point that doesn't believe it is weak, I still fight the wet windows to my soul with all my being...and if I were cut open, you would find all the drops that I stuffed back into my heart.

  25. I would like to bleed crystal clear contentment, but it's more often murky and weedy.. My goal this year is to get organized with my schedule, my closets and STUFF, my time, etc. Now that I'm not homeschooling this year I have no excuse. I look forward to new challenges that this year holds.

  26. Sometimes I bleed black when I see injustice but mostly now I bleed floursant pinks and greens and blue - thankful for God's blessings in my life. Great site. Questions that make me think.

  27. I bleed Dodger blue! I'm a West Coast man by birth. Somethin' stuck I guess.
