What Is Unseen

Watch this video and open your eyes, open your ears. Be reminded that we have a God working through the chaos, a God doing things unseen. An old friend posted this link on FB recently and this week, as I’ve been addressing the word order, I found it fitting. Watch and enjoy! (Reminder to turn off my music)

Don’t forget to write something for my String Together a Story Contest. Wiener (sorry, couldn’t resist again) gets a free foot soak.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

*thanks to mind of Jarbas Agnelli for video and to Vimeo

  2. I always seem to find patterns in random moments. It's kind of weird. :0)

  3. Well isn't that a charming little video? :) Your verse reminds me of the verse in...hmmm...I think it's 1 Corinthians 13 something. Sorry, it's early. Anyway, it says something like, "Now I know in part, then I will know fully, even as I am fully known.

  5. Wendy, that is my favorite scripture! It is posted on my desk, and I take comfort daily in glancing and reading that promise.

    I love the Word!

  7. Oh, this is funny. I posted this in my side bar this week, too.

I was charmed to my toes by it.

One of the things that struck me was how there are connections in everyday, ordinary things to something beyond our five senses.

Once in a while, this happens to me. It's like taking a walk and finding an orchestra playing a breathtaking symphony, in my mind. A door opens and I see past the physical into the spiritual, into the life of the soul.

  9. Loved the video! Isn't God wonderful?!
That verse gives me such hope in knowing that the way I am today, will not be what I will be tomorrow. That I am being renewed on a daily basis, even if I don't see it. Thanks Wendy!

  10. Tara, thanks. I liked it when I saw it on my friend's FB.

Kristen, I'm with you. And just looking at someone can bring up all kinds of "patterns".

Beth, charming. Wouldn't be the word I'd use, but I guess it fits. :D

    Natalie, I'd have to agree.

Tamika, I too, love the Word and think it's pretty cool you have that exact verse posted.

    Thanks, Bina for both words.

Cassandra, trees inspire thoughts like those you mentioned for me. I'll have to go check out your sidebar...you know what they say about great minds. :D

Anne, I Love our God, too!

    Susan, you are welcome.

Ava, I love that you shared it with your husband. You inspired me to show my husband when he got home and he made some goofy comment about the birds.

Ellie, being renewed daily is such a rejuvenating thought.

Thanks for watching that. It's as if we watched a mini movie together.

I'm getting ready to go watch Flash Forward, a new favorite show. Got 1,300 words in today. Things flowed.

I hope my dreams flow. No throw up (see In My Dreams post).

Rest knowing that there are things God is doing that we don't know, and can't understand or fathom. He remains in control.

  11. Every time I'm worn out from this life I just think about how temporary it is and how it isn't supposed to be easy. I count on the unseen every day.

    Love reading the other comments!
