Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.
It is my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.
And now you get to answer the one question I know you’ve wanted me to ask since I began One Question Fridays…
Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

I'm first! The chicken came first! I think God make it and then it mated and laid the egge:)
ReplyDeleteIn some way, shape, or form, I cast my vote for the egg!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend ...
Since man was created first, not child, I'm thinking chicken was too, so that she could raise her little chick and let them multiply. That's my theory, anyway!
ReplyDeletehahaha!! I can't believe this is the question! Hilarious! Age old debate... well, I guess I will have to make a decision. I am going to go with the chicken. It matches what I think Genesis lays out when it says that God made all the animals to roam the earth. I don't recall anything about eggs in there! :)
ReplyDeleteI knew that's where this was going! And I wish I had some deep, thoughtful answer, but I don't know what I believe.
ReplyDeleteI do know the chicken crossed the road, but that's another story entirely...
I'm with Terri. :-) Chicken first.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken, right? Definitely, the chicken.
ReplyDeleteHappy writing...
The chicken. God created birds, who lay eggs. If the egg came first, who sat on it to make it hatch?
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the chicken on this one!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning!
ReplyDeleteThe Chicken!
GE 1:24 And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
God's word will always provide the answer!
Blessings on this Friday morning
Robin
Definitely the chicken, based on creation. Which one would I rather eat? Chicken. But I do love a good omelete, with chicken, of course! :0)
ReplyDeleteNo question- it was the chicken that came first. No mention of the creation of eggs in the Bible! Cluck if you love chickens!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go with chicken--God created animals, so I think He probably made the chicken and then the chicken laid an egg.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to say the chicken but perhaps the Lord enjoyed watching the lovely baby chick hatch from the egg. I'd like to ask him some day =) *sigh* why do I long for eternity so?
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for chicken, for all the creation reasons given :) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteIt had to be the egg. Where else would the chicken have come from? But then where did the egg come from? Aye! Too much to think about.
ReplyDeleteOhhh the pressure!!!! (twiddling fingers)
ReplyDeleteThe chicken ... No ... the Egg!
Ok... the Chicken... yes!! Definitely the chicken!
Thanks for the laugh Wendy!
got to go with those who said chicken....yep the chicken came first
ReplyDeleteOh, definitely the chicken. God made birds on what, the fifth day? Maybe I'd better brush up on creation... :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI say the chicken. The egg is just the shell much like when were are in our mother's stomach. It is all about the chicken in the end though. At least I think so. Is there are real right answer to this? I am curious now. I think that I am going to google it. :o)
ReplyDeleteIf the egg came first, what sat on it?
ReplyDeleteThe Chicken, without a doubt, God created her, then she walked across the street, to lay an egg. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth--I think God has the ability to create a complete being in one moment (so chicken with egg).
ReplyDeleteI just love the music. That's my response for today! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe chicken. I agree with everyone else.
ReplyDeleteBawk, bawk bawk! :O)
ReplyDeleteI believe that God made the Chicken first and then came the egg just like children came after Adam and Eve. Also why Noah brought two of each animal not the eggs of the animals.
ReplyDeleteThe egg. No, the chicken. No, the egg... ;)
