A Somewhere Over the Rainbow Moving Thoughts Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

What is somewhere over the rainbow for you?

  1. Getting a book published does feel like an illusive over-the-rainbow sometimes! Especially on those days when I wake up and find myself in the same place I was two years ago -- it's frustrating, but at the same time, I know I'm always growing, always learning. I'm not actually back at square one. :D Still, it makes "living the dream" seem that much more impossible!

  2. Hey, girl! I definitely think finding that career I love and everything is smooth sailing is over the rainbow for me. Eventually, I realize that home is still home, and there's nothing more important than that.

  3. Heaven. I know that's such a pat answer, but it's true. Any dreams I have here will be blinded by His light when I get to heaven.

Have a great weekend, my friend!

  4. Getting a first draft of my book written, finding and spending a life with my true love (I know that sounds sappy, but it's true), and just really being one with my writing. I feel very separate and apart from it right now. I'd really like to be at a place in my life, hopefully someday soon, where the writing just feels like it's of me. Does that make sense? It very well may not.

  5. I'm with Sarah- HEAVEN is my place over the rainbow where all pain and trials will cease and we will at last be gloriously happy and free:)

  6. Right now....having our second child in our home. That seems like an impossible, never-coming thing right about now. Even though I know eventually it will happen.

  7. I have to agree with the folks who said, "Heaven." Yet like the poet said, "I have miles to go before I sleep." My prayer is that every task He gives me will be finished, tied in a nice bow, and presented to Him.

  8. In answer to your question, I immediately thought of Heaven, and was quite surprised actually that others had thought of that too :-) The only place where everything will be perfect, peaceful, and eternally blissful is Heaven... so thankful to my King for the privilege of going there through the death and resurrection of His Son!

    God bless you...
