Moving Thoughts Friday--Surprise, Surprise

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

What still surprises you?

  1. Honestly, what still surprises me is PEOPLE in general.
Sometimes I'm suprised by their unbelieveable generousity or kindess and sometimes it's their cruelty.

  2. The awesomeness of God's love.

And the awesomeness of my hazelnut coffee each morning. :)

  3. The beauty--and diversity--of God's creation.

  4. The things that come out of my son's mouth. Yesterday he said, "Mama, that's quite enough kisses." :)

  5. That I am someone God WANTS to spend time with! HA! I can barely stand to look in the mirror of my own soul, yet He delights in ME?

  6. I marvel at how my kids are turning from children to adults, stretching their wings and getting ready to fly.

  7. My husband. After all these years, he still has a way of pleasantly surprising me!

  8. I'm still surprised that grown adults can hold onto bitterness and hold grudges against someone else. I guess I'm naive when it comes to wanting to see everyone get along. :)

  9. Hubby, and my kids. They are all awesome.

  10. I'm constantly suprised at the revelations God gives to me about simple things and profound. He never ceases to amaze me. (Also, tonight my husband saw a relatively young person smoking a cigarette and he said: "I'm so surprised when I see someone smoking - you'd think there is enough education out there about the health risks.")
