Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.
It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

You’re stranded on a deserted island with a television that’s unable to be turned off (yeah, I know, so realistic). Would you rather have The Jersey Shore or Keeping Up with the Kardashians airing 24/7 (and no, there is no way to drown, destroy, detonate, or silence the TV)?

I don't watch either of those, but I'm going to go with Keeping up. Sometimes, reality like that helps raise my level of thankfulness in this world - even stranded on a deserted island, which sounds really pretty.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched either. So yikes, how do I choose? I see the Kardashians on the tabloids so I have an idea what that's about. I guess I'd pick Jersey Shore. But seriously....is it reality TV or is it an actual show?
ReplyDeleteWhat a choice!
ReplyDeleteI have not watched either, but I'll go with Jersey Shore. Because I live at the Jersey Shore--where I can assure you that no one LOOKS, ACTS or TALKS like them!!
Hm, Kardashians here. Maybe because at least there's a mother-daughter aspect to it.
ReplyDeleteNever watched either one...so I guess I'll say Kardashians since it's based on a family. A highly dysfunctional one, but a family nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched either. But Kim Kardashian is pretty, so I'll go with that one.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched either show. If I had to pick (and I do since you made me =), I'd go for the one that uses the most music. That way I could dance. =)
ReplyDeleteGoodness! Both shows would drive me to insanity. I think Keeping Up would affect me a little less than Jersey Shore, so I would have to go with that one. At any rate, the K family always help me to really appreciate my life and friends in a way I don't think they would intend.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch either, so I'm guessing I would probably throw my TV out the window if either one of them were airing 24/7.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched either, but I at least know who the Kardashians are (yeah, my hubby told me :D), so I'd go with that one.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched either one.
ReplyDeleteI would probably throw a coconut through the screen.
You didn't put jumping off a cliff as an option?! :) I've never seen Jersey Shore, so I guess I'd pick that just to see what it's about.
ReplyDeleteThis is by far the most awful question ever asked. Did you laugh wickedly (Bwahahahahaha) as you typed it for the blog post?
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Word.
Can I swim to another nearby island?
I've never watched The Kardashians but I have (for some unknown reason) caught glimpses of Jersey Shore.
So I will pick The Ks because, well, at least there will be weddings.
Oh me...I don't watch either and from what I know of them I might go crazy...
ReplyDeleteI know nothing about any of them! No TV watcher here. But... if you said I was on the island with historical fiction novels then that would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'll go with the K's as a second alternative to reading.
May I turn the sound off? Oh, you said no silencing. Maybe a supply of earplugs or seaweed might work?
Ok, I actually have watched the Jersey Shore, um, all of them, but faced with your question I've realized I have no desire to see any of it twice. So, Keeping up with the K's it is!
ReplyDeleteUGH! What a question! I feel defiled enough reading all the juicy Kardashian headlines in the checkout line at the grocery store. LOL! I think I accidentally watched Jersey Shore one time, so I think I'll go with the Kardashians, even though I'm sure it's similarly nasty.
