I remember the first time I saw my mom crying. She was bawling, actually. I was in fifth grade. I took my time walking down our long lane ...
The red ones.
ReplyDeleteAnd this one, three and a half years ago, "Oh my gosh, Ryan, two lines!"
A prayer we prayed 2 years ago..."God we will do anything." and the he has taken us up on it. My life is not the same as it was before that prayer.
ReplyDeleteLove Katie's answer. I was going to say God's words.
ReplyDelete"I do."
ReplyDeleteAlthough some days I feel like, "I don't wanna!" (Stomping my foot and pouting.) Marriage is harder than I thought it would be...for sure!
When I was a teenager in anguish over sins I thought too many for God to forgive, I found "And their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more" in Hebrews. Those words changed me forever.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, "Will you marry me?"
Grace.
ReplyDeleteYou're hired.
I do.
Two pink lines.
Another two pink lines.
Contract.
Cancer.
Good-bye.
More Grace.
What words changed me?
ReplyDelete"I love you, Keli." My wonderful husband said them to me first. They were the last words my beloved mother-in-law spoke this side of heaven just before she lost her final battle with breast cancer.
"I'm proud of you." I'd longed to hear these words from my parents. When I called to tell them I'd been offered a publishing contract, both of them said the same thing, and my heart filled to overflowing.
Of course the words from the Bible.
ReplyDeleteI love you
You can.
You will.
Dream.
Believe.
Proceed.
Lacie stole my answer..."I Do".
ReplyDeleteWords that changed me:
ReplyDeleteI love you
I do
It's a boy (twice)
Mom
You're forgiven
Congratulations, Class of 2009 (my college degree at 40)
Cancer.
He's/She's gone.
You sold.
Triple bypass.

Words that changed me:
ReplyDelete"You are forgiven" ...Jesus
"We love you even more when you think things are not going well" my parents
"When in Rome...act like the Romans"...My Dad
"You are unattractive to me because you are too fat"...a mistake of a lifetime in the form of a person.
The words that Jesus spoke.
ReplyDelete"You can be bad at math and still be a worthwhile person." -- my mother.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, MOM! :)
Amy
"Me too.." accompanied by a hug.
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy -
ReplyDeleteJesus loves you.
You're easy to love (from my late husband).
Don't be afraid to try.
Blessings,
Susan :)
