Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.
It's my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

I have to say BOTH. A rich brew in the morning to kick start my day, and green tea in the mid afternoon for its antioxidant and other health related properties. Great idea for Fridays!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Paul. I do both. I love my mug of coffee in the morning, but I love, love, love a Chai tea or a cup of green tea later in the day. Especially during the winter.
ReplyDeleteI love both, but if I have to choose, I choose coffee. I love the smell of coffee in the morning. It makes me happy. :)
ReplyDeleteWHAT I WON!!! I never win anything. I'm so excited! Thanks (email on way).
ReplyDeleteI am a true TEA fan. There is something in the process of making it. Boiling the water and its whistle to let you know it's ready. Steeping and the color change. Adding the fun stuff or plain, tea is a comfort thing. The hot mug in your hand, the steam whispering the heat away. Hmmm.
Favorite tea is Madasgar Vanilla from Celestial Seasonings. It's caffeine free and has a rich red/brown color. Love it! Good question! Did you answer?
Tea. I have a glass of sweet tea beside me much of the day. When it's chilly out and I want something hot, a cup of hot peppermint tea is just the thing.
ReplyDeleteI may be one of the few people on the planet who doesn't care for coffee. I like to smell it, but I never developed a taste for it. Weird, I know, but that's the truth. Can we still be friends? :-)
Both. But tea makes me feel healthier and I can drink more of it guilt-free. I often drink cup after cup of green tea during the workday, and also when I write.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, though, there is nothing like a sugary coffee drink.
Both! I drink coffee in the morning, but I drink tea all afternoon. I love warm beverages!
ReplyDeleteI love them both, but I must have coffee. So, coffee.
ReplyDeleteTea! I drink coffee sometimes, because it's fun to watch my fingers vibrate and I can play piano really fast then. But I have to dump a lot of sugar and cream in it to make it bearable. I love tea though... it's comfort in a mug. =)
ReplyDeleteI drink coffee more frequently, but I love all warm drinks.
ReplyDeleteI don't often drink something hot, but when I do, I go tea. I just have never cared for the thought of coffee. Tea seems to have a soothing quality to it. Of cold winter days, a warm fire and a good book.
ReplyDeleteMostly tea. Coffee used to make my stomach hurt when I drank it so I stopped drinking it. But every once in awhile I'll have a cup and if there's enough flavoring in there, I actually like it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteMust I choose? I heart both. Coffee in the morning--the darker roast, the better; tea in the afternoon, to keep my brain awake.
My favorite coffee is Midnight Magic; my favorite tea is Joy by Tazo. You can only find it at Christmas time!
Love,
Jen
Tea please! Only green though. Or white. I do not like black tea. But I love me some piping hot honey green tea in the morning!
ReplyDeleteNeither anymore. But used to drink a ton of tea!
ReplyDeleteFunny question to ask me today! I'm coffee all the way except when I feel a bladder infection coming on, and guess what I'm drinking today? Tea!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this isn't a surprise, given my blog name... ;) but I would definitely say coffee. I love the aroma and the way it tastes from a nice, heavy mug.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Melanie
I like coffee in the mornings and then lemon tea at night (decaf of course).
ReplyDeleteNeither. I don't like hot drinks. But give me a grape soda any day!
ReplyDeleteOh, waaaaaa, can't I have both? Coffee first in the morning. Tea at noon, and maybe another coffee...later...maybe.... Don't make me choose!
ReplyDeleteI must be one of the few oddballs. I hate coffee and hot tea. Regular ice tea is great, but hot? blech! lol... Of course, I always have time for hot chocolate or hot apple cider. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on the mood I'm in, except for mornings. I need a cup of coffee.
ReplyDeleteLately, I've been in the mood for tea....a Christmas spirit thing maybe?
Coffee. Because I'm addicted to it now and a total junkie. Tea doesn't do it for me anymore. :) But I would love to be civilized and drink tea.
ReplyDeleteOh it is so coffee.
ReplyDeleteIt is the ritual. Also I used to have a problem with addiction so coffee is the one thing I can still have!
No contest.. COFFEE. No doubt. I can drink it all day - all night. I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your blog.
Tea all the way! Coffee is gross!!
ReplyDeleteMy dad bet that I would be drinking coffee by the time I graduated college, but NO WAY. I still hate it and can taste it in anything, even when people tell me "it's not a strong coffee flavor."
But I love tea. Especially obscure Chinese loose-leaf varieties.
Amy
Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteI didn't answer but I'm Barry's Irish tea at home and coffee when I get out of the house.
Hope you're all having a great weekend. Fun to read these!
~ Wendy
Coffee blows away tea, but I love tea, too, especially my China green.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, dear Wendy.

I have always been a tea drinker. But due to my being caffiene sentive, I have to stay with herb teas. I like the Earl Grey decaffinated. Chamomille is good. I have some green tea on my cabinet, I have to be careful when I purchase it. Some of the ones we would think are not caffinated have a small amount in them.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely coffee, with Silk soy milk, and a bit of Silk flavoring. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI used to drink only tea, especially nice, healthy herbal teas.
ReplyDeleteThen the day came when I no longer had to worry about what my babies were getting via umbilical cord or breast milk. And there were five of them no longer taking naps, with plenty of running for me to do. And I started writing in the wee hours, after they were all in bed.
I started drinking coffee as one third hot cocoa, one third water, one third coffee. Once I got the hang of it, I started drinking it black (a couple of cups a week), and I couldn't tell you when I last drank a cup of tea. : )
(Will that do for the "why" part of the answer? Love to you, Wendy dear!)
