Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.
It's my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.
What energizes you?

All of the hope the Bible gives me and just about nothing else. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Wendy! I love your blog...it's so beautiful. I am energized by alone time with God, by playing with my boys, by exercising, and by writing a good scene. :-) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteSara
I can't wait to read your story!
ReplyDeleteA nap, an encouraging devotion, and time spent STILL in God's presence energizes me.
Laughter at the adorable things my grandkids say. For instance, when 7-year-old Jenessa was tired, she said she was "pooped to loop." Where she got that from is anyone's guess.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the wedding!

Solitude...and quiet.
ReplyDeleteI love your background and what a peaceful feel to your blog. I love these pictures. I'm energized by singing praise songs loudly and in the heart, having still time with my Jesus, and snuggling with my family. Enjoy the wedding!
ReplyDeleteooo, congrats!! I will read it. What energizes me?? Wait, that's like a hypothetical question, right?
ReplyDeleteErm. Nothing's coming to mind at this particular moment, but that could be because I'm still on California time and not getting enough sleep to combat jet lag.
Okay, I know.
An email from an editor saying they want to publish my book. Now that would REALLY energize me!!!
Worship and nature. Both are rejuvenating and fill my spirit to the brim.
ReplyDeleteWriting. Chocolate. Coffee. Prayer!
ReplyDeleteCarmel apple cider, fall weather, Jesus...
ReplyDeleteYour story for CFOM was beautiful - hugging my kids a little tighter today :)
Happy Weekend!
YOU energize me! Seriously, seriously, seriously. I want you to live next door.
ReplyDeleteI was going to say coffee and solitude, but I like Katie's answer better. YOU!
ReplyDeleteDitto to what Katie says!
ReplyDeleteAlso, hanging with writer buddies, and reading history books.
Spiritually - the Bible.
ReplyDeleteEmotionally - quality time with my family.
Physically - a brisk walk.
Blessings for your weekend,
Karen
I am energized when I spend quality time with God, my family and friends; read a great book; and write. I love your one question Friday.
ReplyDeleteThe Bible, nature and alone time. So, being in beautiful nature, reading the Bible while alone. :)Sounds heavenly.
ReplyDeleteWhen I want for energy, I listen to spirited Irish music with a good beat. It always gets me pumped and smiling. :)

My amazing writer friends - the ones I've known through the internet, the ones I got to know better at conference, and the new ones I make every day - energize me. The writer friends I chat online with, wait with, pray for and with, and share with energize me. You, my friend, energize me!
ReplyDeleteAn hour or two to write does wonders.
