One Question Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It is my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

The question…

Yesterday or Tomorrow?

  1. Both. Because I so treasure my yesterdays, but live on faith that my tomorrows will be full and blessed. Both are important.

  6. Yesterday: I don't live in the past, but as one of my professors just said..."without knowing where we've been, we won't ever know where we're going."

The root of our past and future is the same and that root is Jesus. Good question!

  8. Wendy, LOVE your blog, which always makes me feel at home.
I too LOVE Jodi Picoult's novels, which have a wonderful structure to study. Now I'm reading Plain Truth. We'll have to compare notes!

Oh. Your question. See, I am singing a new song....Definitely TOMORROW!!! Keep persevering, perfecting, with the Holy Spirit's help, on the road to Eternity!!1

  9. some great responses here. As far as I am concerned Tomorrow is all I have to look forward to and is what I can control to a greater extent. Yesterday is the foundation upon which tomorrow is built and shapes how I make my decisions, but I can't change yesterday so I shouldn't let it control me.

  10. Tomorrow: because there's always hope for a brighter future.

Yesterday: because of memories and lessons learned.

    Happy Weekend, friend,
    Jen

  27. Boy, I can't answer this one without some divine assistance. I love them both!

So I'll say, since He's the same -- yesterday, today, and tomorrow -- I'm going to live in Him! That should take care of it -- He'll balance it out for me.
