One Question Friday (on Wednesday)

I’m going to be on a blog hiatus during the next week, so I wanted to post my One Question Friday early.

Every Friday (or Wednesday in this case) I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.
It is my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

Ready for your question?

Land or Water?

Meet me at
5 Minutes for Faith this Friday and Exemplify Online on Tuesday.

  2. Oh, that's a tough one. My first instinct is to say water. So, that's what I'll go with. Water.

  3. Have a nice break! I'd have to say land.

  4. Thanks for the thoughts, ladies. If you happen to stop back by I'd love to know why you picked water, water and land.

  5. WATER!!! Because I cannot get over the way it displays God's overwhelming power and His great vastness! I that land also shows power and vastness, but water does it more for me. I love to think that "to write the Love of God above would drain the ocean dry..."

  6. Water! When I stand, feet buried in the sand, where the ocean meets the shore, I’m captivated by God’s greatness. I stand amazed at His glorious creation and ability to have such an intricate imagination!

  7. We will miss you smiling face around cyberspace, but enjoy your break! I'd definitely have to say land because I get sea-sick when I'm in a boat, and I get too sunburned when I'm swimming. And I don't like eating seafood. :)

  8. Water, because it represents the wonderful Holy Spirit, and we could not live without water or Him.
Have a fun week; we'll miss you!

  9. I would say water, because there's just such a wonderful feeling as it swallows me--right up to the point where I start drowning. I'm very good at that--not so much with swimming. >.<

Have a good break! Remember what an awesome person you are!

  10. Oooh, that's tough. I guess I'd say land. This way I can look at the water, appreciate it, but don't have to get to close :) Have a great week off!

  11. Have a great break! I'm going to say land. I only like so much of water. And one time I got horribly sea sick, so yeah, definitely land. Remind me to tell you the story about my hubby and parasailing...oh wow, halarious!

  12. Boo for the blog break (we'll miss you too much)!

Water for me, for sure. It's just so fluid (lol), you know? I should've been born with fins! :)

  13. Have a great break!!!

Water... because it can move and it has sound, glorious sound. And you can play inside or on it, whereas you can only play on land.

  14. Have a good break!!!

Land. I'm not sure why. I like water. I like drinking it, I like swimming and splashing on it. but wow, there's something about flowers, pretty magnificant trees and sitting on the beach WATCHING the sunset over water.

  15. Land. Give me solid earth beneath my feet, that I might run and dance and roll upon it.

Then when I've spent myself, give me water. A hot bath. A cool lake. Pounding surf. Babbling brook. Refresh me.

  16. Land. So much variety: mountains, forest, canyons, and coast. Enjoy your break!

  17. Water because there is a healthy fear of the Lord with water. It's vastness and power could swallow me up! Tiny streams of water meandering through the land has created rivers and canyons over time! There is beauty in the land yet, much of it's beauty depends on water. Furthermore, I physically depend on water to live. Water definitely gains my respect!

  18. My husband is water while I'm 100% land, baby.

    Enjoy your haitus!

  19. Hi Wendy. Thanks for stopping by my blog a while back. Looks like now that I'm back online, you are taking a break! :) Love your blog and so happy to "meet" you here.

Hmmm..... land or water? Well, I guess land. And, I guess I say that bc I feel safer on land than water.

Have a great break from blogging & look forward to your return!

  22. Water. I love the feeling of being effortlessly guided along.

  23. Water. Fluid movement. I am tired of being 'stuck' in life.
