Moving Thoughts Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

When are you inspired most?

  1. Hm. I'm definitely inspired during the time I spend in nature and when I'm moving (walking, exercising, etc.), but hands-down, inspiration surrounds me most when I'm reading a great novel.

  2. I'm inspired when I hear true life stories about people overcoming adversity.

  3. Whenever fresh air is involved. :)

  4. When I'm listening to worship music.

  5. When I've taken the time to slow down, to sit back and shut up. I feel like so much of my life is running and doing. (Okay, not literal running. Ha!) But seriously...I really am most inspired, usually, when I'm at my mom and dad's house, in the country, no noise, just...still.

  6. In the still of the morning when it's just me and Jesus and a few owls hooting! Love early mornings!

  7. In that twilight time between waking and falling asleep, when my imagination is allowed to run free and the house is quiet and dark.

  8. When I listen in prayer, and don't do all the talking. When my grandkids say, "I love you." When I meet someone worse off than me, but with a better attitude. When I drink great coffee.

  9. After I have had quiet, alone time, whenever that is. :)

  10. Out in nature and watching my children.
