Moving Thoughts Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

  2. ... feel simultaneously melancholy and rejuvenated. (I just went to my 25th high school reunion last weekend. The trip down memory lane with everyone was filled with love. I never realized how much I missed my childhood friends until we were together again. I'm sad it was only for one night.)

  4. I feel sad for what could've been but I'm proud to have broken the cycle. I didn't have an ideal childhood and vowed even before I had children that they would never know what it was like. My oldest son started college this year and is thinking about venturing out on his own...but recently made a comment that let me know I'd accomplished that. I thank God for the strength and courage He gave me to walk a different path. Thank you for prompting the thought and making my heart smile today. Have a blessed retreat!

I hope you have a wonderful time at the retreat, Wendy. Sure wish I was going. I'd love to see you while you're here in my home state. Any chance I could talk you into coming up to the Sierra Foothills? I'm sure you'd love the Gold Country. Why, I'd even take you up to South Lake Tahoe. It's gorgeous. So tell me. Have I talked you into it? =)

  15. ...am sincerely grateful. God blessed me with parents who loved each other and loved the Lord. Though my childhood contained all of the pain normally associated with the process of gaining maturity, I was secure in knowing I was loved and supported. It's the gift that keeps on giving, even after my parents have passed away.
