Moving Thoughts Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

If you could say one thing to yourself and believe it assuredly starting today and every day in the future, what would you say?

  1. Tough question! I'd say this: "God still loves you even when you act like an idiot." Because, well, I tend to act like an idiot pretty much every day. :)

    Happy weekend, Wendy!

  2. God has a plan for you. And it's a good one. Hang in there.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Wendy,

Oh, I echo Lindsay's answer - my head KNOWS He's in control and has a plan for my life and for the life of my children (1 recently married and facing the realities of sharing a life with her best friend, the other still trying to figure out some things about direction that he should have figured out a few years ago, and our third still home with me) and my husband who is working a job that is eating away at him, but my heart reacts like a ping-pong ball every time things don't go the way I think they should.

Great question - I'll be thinking about it all day!

  5. That God loves me and has the best plan ever--more than I could dream up or imagine on my own. :)

  6. "God LOVES you!" Lately I've been feeling very unworthy. What with needing a job and helping my family stay afloat. Writing isn't a stable career and often I don't even feel liked at home. Like an outsider.

But then I was listening to KLove one day and God was talking to me through the songs. I came to understand that the Creator of all that is, was, and ever will be loves ME.

It was a groundbreaking moment and I will never forget that I am loved. :)

  7. I am secure in God's love.
Yep, that's it. Secure in God's love.

Wendy, I so, so enjoy your Friday questions.

  8. God will never leave me nor forsake me. I attended a court hearing this past Wednesday. My friend's nephew is going to prison for 50 years. I wrote the man's mother and reminded her of God's faithfulness using those words.

  9. "Jennifer Lynn Zarifeh Major...you are EXACTLY who God made you to be"

You are not a superwoman, there is already a Beth Moore.
You are not a stalwart theologian...again, with the Beth Moore thing.
You are meant to have curves.
    You are pretty. You ARE.
    You count.
    You have a voice.
    You have something to say.
You are the one your friends KNOW will make them smile and see the irreverent side of things.

    You are worthy.
    You are worthy enough.
You are worthy enough for the King to die a long, painful, humiliating death, hung by hands and feet and mocked.

If He thinks you're to die for, who are you to argue?

  10. No matter my opinion of myself, God loves me enough to die for.

  11. God enjoys hanging out with you. You don't have to earn His love.
