Moving Thoughts Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

Take it or leave it?

  1. I usually take it, if "it" is advantage of all life has to offer. But there can be times to leave it too, times of restoration that are desperately needed. I suppose "for everything there is a season."

  2. Leave it. Take it suggests to me that we take things as they are, without questioning. Leave it suggests more of breaking away and making our own unique way.

  3. That's a tough one for me. If it's from God, I willingly take it. If not, I leave it. Knowing what's what is where the tough comes in.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. The first thing that came to mind was baggage, as in stuff from the past that weighs us down.
    Leave it.
I most definitely will leave it.

  5. Take it. A promise from the Lord, an opportunity to grow, or a new path. And of course, an offer of an ice cream cone or a date to dine out--yip yip, I'll take it!!!

  6. I mostly take it, if it's free, but then I dislike how much stuff I get piled up in my house that needs to go to Goodwill. :) If I have to spend money on it, I mostly leave it. I think I'm the definition of a cheapskate. :)

  7. Thanks for your comments. I wanted to quickly pop in to say I'm not going to be making the rounds with blogs today. I'll miss you, but I'm digesting some disturbing news.

There are some days I long for heaven so viscerally.

I'm not at a point where I want to expound upon what's going on, but if you're willing, lift one up for this unspoken.

  8. Praying for you Wendy.

My first thought was take it, baby, take it! Like...if somebody's going to throw me a bone, I'm going to take it and use it.

  9. Honestly? Some days I want both. I'll take it AND leave it. I want it all! Thinking of you. :)

  10. This comment is late. I hope things have settled down for you and yours, Wendy.
I thought, take the good with the bad and vice versa. I also thought leaving is harder than taking. Taking is like, take your purse, your camera, whatever you need for the moment. Leaving is a struggle. To leave something behind is usually necessary, but not easy. Blessings, Susan
