Moving Thoughts Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

What makes your heart race?

  1. Love. And life-changing conversations. And too much coffee. :)

    Have a great weekend, friend!

  2. Watching a good romance. (The old fashioned kind.)

Reason? I think it's because I love to see couples that truly love each other.

  3. When the light goes on in someone's heart and they say, "I get it--God loves me, and sent Jesus to prove it. I want to follow that Man!"

    Gets me every time.

  4. Waiting and watching as my daughter dances on stage or as my son steps up to the plate.

  5. When I step out in faith for the love of Jesus Christ and take a stand on a subject even if I know it will go against what someone else believes. When I let go of the fear because it's the right thing to do.

  6. My sweet husband, and moments when I see God moving.

  7. My husband. :)

    And deadlines.

And waiting for anything I want very badly.

  8. I'm with Heather on this one. When God prompts me to do or say something, even if it goes against the grain...and I'm trusting and obedient.

Every time I take a step in faith...my heart beats wildly.

  9. The Holy Spirit working in me, my husband, and a eight-mile run! ;)

  10. Usually nervousness, like public speaking. My heart races when I'm not prepared for something important. Waking up from a really bad dream that seems VERY real.

  11. Opening my e-mail these days as I'm querying and submitting. :)

  12. It doesn't take much to get my heart racing--my daughter's night terrors really get it going because they freak me out--any compliment or surprise--asking God for answers and hearing his quiet voice.

I'm really excitable and anxious about many things.

  13. Speaking in front of a crowd of adults. Kids, I can do. Adults. Makes my heart flutter just a wee bit.

  14. My heart races when I hear good news.

In our world we hear so much bad news that sometimes I bet so befuddled over this bad news stuff, I will say, " I just want to hear about the birth of a new baby."

  15. My heart races when I get good news - mine or someone else's. :)

  16. When my child almost falls head first off the bed. There's a prickle sensation in my forehead that goes along with the racing heart. Does anyone else get that?

The other day this car tore through a stop sign and almost hit my van. That made my heart race, too!

And when I'm checking my inbox and I see a query response from an agent ... heart racing, big time!

Have a great day, Wendy! :)
