One Question Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It’s my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

Title your life…

  1. That's a tough one. I would title my life "Twists and Turns" because just when I think my life is headed in one direction, God will throw in something that sends me in an entirely new direction. All of those detours have made me who I am.

  2. Making us think again, eh? I love you for that. My brain is never silent when I visit you, girl.

My life's title: Hope for the Ditzy. I get myself into pickles, the Lord rescues me from them; I resolve to be wiser; I do fine for a few days; I fall into another stupid soup; He fishes me out again. This is the pattern. If there's hope for me, anyone can do life!

    Love you, honey.

  3. Love both of the ladies' titles above. Waiting to see what you say, Wendy!

I'd have to say Memoirs of Great Mistakes: A list I'd never change!

    hehehe.

    Hugs! Have a great weekend

  4. ha! i like this....i think the title of my life would be: If at first you don't succeed, cry and try again! I've had so many bumps in my life and those were the best lessons for my growth!

  5. Hmmm... maybe "A Women's Journey" :)

  6. Whoa, what a toughie! (No, that's not my title; it's my reaction to the question.)

    Hmmm...

    Never Alone

because even when I feel abandoned, I'm not. (although it could be taken as a creepy suspense title too, ha!)

  7. I normally don't answer these One Question Fridays because I don't want my thoughts to sway yours, but this is one of those where I can't really see that happening.

    So Bonnie... ;)

I took a few moments to think about it and off the top of my thunker I came up with...

    Estuary of Hope & Words

Cool to read your answers and I'm excited to keep reading more!

An Orange Rhombus in a Purple Ellipse World.

  11. Joy on the Journey.

I spent far too many years not embracing the process. Now that I'm more "mature," I've come to realize the value of enjoying the here and now.

(Sheesh! Does that make me sound old, or what??? LOL)

  14. This is the type of fun I've been angling for all day! My life is so full of drama right now, I like the title: Two is A Crowd. Ha!

  16. Victory from the Jaws of Defeat.

You gotta believe it. Sometimes you just spend longer in the jaws, but the victory will come.

  17. " THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOPE " because if it were not for the HOPE that my LORD and SAVIOUR has anchored me with i would have surely sunk by now ..... have a great week-end .

  18. Growth of a Spine.

When I was younger I never stood up for myself. Through my first marriage, I learned the hard way of not standing up for what I believe. I do not regret that juncture in my life, as it made me who I am now.

Over the last 17 years, I've learned to speak up more and stand up for my beliefs. It took an understanding husband and the realization that I wasn't going to keel over dead or lose my friends from speaking my thoughts.

  19. Boy is this a good question and a tough one as well. Hmm. I think it would have to be "Becoming Unshakable: standing firm in the midst of chaos and turmoil"

  20. You ask the coolest questions.
    How about "Bent by Grace"?

    Blessings, dear one!
    May Rhythms soon reach you:)

  21. I don't know about my life, but I've brainstormed some titles if I were to ever do a memoir, and I always thought that "We Need to Talk About River, Among Other Things" was an appropriate title. This is because that any time I have a problem or something seriously bothering me, I find it exceedingly hard to talk to people about it.

  22. Hi Wendy,

    Title your life…
"RETURNING TO THE SHEPHERD" ~ Rejoicing in the beauty of His forgiveness ~

WHY THIS TITLE ? It became the title to a series of poems that I wrote after re-committing my life to the Lord , and experiencing the beauty and the depth of His love.

    God bless you

  23. LOL, I LOVE this question! Let's see....

The Rise and Fall of a Lackluster Wannabe

I don't know why I chose this, but today it just seems fitting. Plus I think it would sell.

I'm still smiling. Great question :D

  24. In my Shepherd's Care - that's where I've worked for the past 25 years and that's what's already written on my tombstone - I kid you not!
