One Question Friday

Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.

It is my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

  2. I need both. I'm so greedy. I can't get answers without questions. I need the river of questions to get me to the field of answers.

  4. Well since my life already feels like a river of questions I'm going to opt for the field of answers. I could REALLY use some answers these days!

  5. A field of answers would sure be nice right now. Oh, and can you add 24 straight hours of sleep to that? :-)

  6. Field of answers. Which would then probably spawn more questions about how those answers came about :/

    Have a great weekend ...

  8. Ooh--I don't know! AHHHH!!! I don't know!!! Is the river in the sun? Are there any answers with the river? Okay, give me the water. :0)

  9. Great question this week, Wendy! Wish I could think of something snarky to answer this, but it's just too deep! So here's my feeble attempt: I would need the questions to eventually bring me to the answers. Even in my writing, I continually ask the questions that keep spurring me on to find the answers.

  10. Field of answers. My husband is a river of questions so I would love to have his field of answers.

  11. Field of Answers. Because I need them to survive. My mind is that river of questions, and sometimes I'd love to make it stop.

Thanks for asking; love your photos.

  12. River of Questions, since I have a painting called "Searching for Unanswered Questions" next to my work area.

God transcends our human understanding and I am comfortable to ask Whys but not need them answered...today.

Blessings on a truly lovely post!

  13. I'm going to go with the questions too. If you have the answers to everything, where is the fun in living? In writing? In breathing in and out?

  14. Questions. Definitely questions. I love the search for answers.

  15. Field of answers; I like the security in knowing the answers to my questions.
    Blessings for your weekend!

  16. I'll take answers. Here's a quote to explain why:

"If you don’t know the way from here to there, imagine yourself there and find the way back to here." ~ London Taxi Driver

  17. Ooohh.

River of questions. Because I love the thought it would inspire, and am rather fond of seeking out the answers.

    Happy Weekend, Wendy!

  18. Hi Wendy,

I'm a bottom-line kind of person, so I'd definitely choose field of answers. I already have enough questions to overflow a river!

  19. I found the answers so intriguing! Because I initially assumed it was what do you already have, not what do you want. And for sure, I have a river of questions. But everybody else answered in regards to what they would want.

Oh, wow, this is TOUGH! I pick questions. Because as soon as you get all the answers, the mystery and wonder and creativity of imagination, hopes and dreaming...all of that is gone.

But of course, I'm going through a pretty blessed season in life right now. I think it's easy to pick questions when my heart isn't breaking for answers.

On another note - I'm SO happy my blog shout out touched your heart today, Wendy. I meant every single syllable, my friend. :)

  20. Field of Answers. I prefer to have answers to what I am dealing with. Be it my problem or a family issue or a friend's issue.

  21. Questions...not a doubt. I LOVE questions; have always been the "why" person. I have to stop myself from asking new acquaintances questions. I'm not trying to be rude or intrusive, I'm just really, really curious about people's thoughts, experiences...lives! Great post, Wendy. God bless this weekend!

  22. Field of Answers. I'm a nosy person. Got that from my grandmother:)

  23. During this season of my life I would say, field of answers. My prayers are stemming in a lot of directions!

Great Friday food for thought, thanks Wendy.

  24. Field of answers. Because I am the river of questions.

    Happy New Year!

  25. Field of answers. I don't really want to know everything, but neither do I want to question everything. :-)

  26. River of Questions, which surprises me. I like to have things just so, but I'm a thinker who wants to know why. And a good question can pull forth such treasures from the one answering. I learn a great deal when I ask.

  27. Most definitely river of questions. If there are no questions then what happens? I mean, if we have the field of answers, how interesting would life be?

I need questions. So that I can discover the answers. Happy weekend. :0)

  28. I'm with Robyn. A river of questions. And woo-hoo, two hundred followers? You've come a long way, baby!

  29. Oh. I'd love to say field of answers. But if I don't have the questions, what good will the answers be? Imagine randomly picking up "Under the bed, beside the sock." So, I guess that means I'll have to go with River of Questions. At least that way I'll understand when I find the correct answers.

  30. What I Have: A river of questions.
What I've Always Wanted: A field of answers.
What I'm Going With: A river of questions.
Why I'm Going With It: My best friend, literally, seems to have an answer for nearly everything. I love that about her, and I thought it was something I'd always wanted until I read your post. You always make me seem to rethink my answers before saying anything. :) That's good! I find that, having the answers to everything, not only takes interest out of the picture, but would completely take away your desire of meditation and thought and wonderment. (And I'm not saying my friend lacks these things because she doesn't really have the answer to everything nor nearly everything.) I would rather be curious about things and still have the ability to learn, where I'd then gain knowledge and slowly begin to build a field of answers.

  31. I am just too inquizitive, I need to know why! Thank you for this post! Great! Blessings.

  32. Field of Answers. I spent my young adulthood believing, like so many of my peers, that there were no answers. Since then, I've learned that while some questions will never be fully answered in this world, there is absolute truth, and that truth is the only thing that can get us through life's trials.
