Every Friday I’m going to ask a question. The questions I choose might be ambiguous on purpose. The goal is to have you answer the question according to your beliefs, where you’re at in life or a circumstance that might have recently impacted you. The only thing I ask is that you provide an explanation for why you answered the way you did.
It is my hope to understand you better through this and also to gain a greater understanding of humanity and how people make decisions.

Wendy - Thanks for visiting my blog this morning! As for the question, I'm totally a "warming up by the fire" kind of girl. I like to play in the snow for a little bit, but I look forward to cozying up with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book when I get inside.
ReplyDeletePlaying in the snow. Warming up by the fire is enriched after a long romp in the snow, skiing or sleigh riding. Yup, I've spent years in heavy snow country.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for playing in the snow. Then I will warm up by the fire. I like to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, even if it is chilly - it feels good! Besides, if I get exercise playing outside in the snow, I burn off enough calories to offset the hot chocolate:) Have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteHm, the ambiance, the warmth, the comfort. I'm definitely a warming up by the fire person, with a wonderful VIEW of the snow outside through a pretty paned window :)
ReplyDeleteWarming up by the fire for sure. Although I like to look at the snow, I don't like cold weather, so even if there is snow, you won't find me out playing in it!
ReplyDeleteWarming by the fire, absolutely. The warm, the cozy, the inspiration and opportunity to think or read. Perfect. And no frostbite.
ReplyDeletewarming by the fire - hands down - no contest - every time!! I HATE to be cold, so I will always choose the warm option. Plus, I love to looka t snow - but I hate to be in it. I love the fireplace and cozy evenings by it with my hubby! :)
ReplyDeleteOK I would so like to play in the snow but for sure right after I would be running to that fire.
ReplyDeleteRunning to the fire? Sounds like something I do a lot in my life.
Eeek! Can't I have both??? LOL
ReplyDeleteWarming by the fire, nestled deep in the arms of my hubby sipping hazelnut latte. Perfect.
ReplyDeleteHmm... since we rarely see snow in my state, I'll go with that. But I think if we saw it more often I'd choose the fire!
ReplyDeleteI would get too restless sitting by the fire and although I hate the cold I would rather go tobaggoning and out building forts with the kids.
ReplyDeleteEasy one for me. I hate the cold! :O)
ReplyDeleteMy new webite is www.dianeestrella.com
Warming up by the fire. I am usually an outdoors girl in most other situations but I really don't like snow. In fact, there's snow here right now. I'm warming up by the heater instead of the fire because my hands and toes are cold!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love watching the beauty of snow showers, I get cold very easily. You will no longer see me playing in snow... unfortunately. By the fire is definitely my cup of tea. Warm and cozy! :) Enjoy your weekend Wendy!
ReplyDeleteWell it all depends...if I'm doing something like skiing or sledding or maybe even walking...outside in the snow. If I don't have something "to do" outside I would say I prefer to sit by the fire with a wonderful book!
ReplyDeleteAs for all your wonderful comments, they mean so much to me. It brightens my day to see your comments and support. I'm so glad that what happened to Gray helped you to be vigilant. Thanks for always take the time to encourage me. You are a gifted writer and I always enjoy reading your blog and learning from you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Miss Wendy!! Long time :) The fire...most definately. I am not much the type who likes the rompings in the cold, BUT I suppose it takes a chill to really appreciate the warmth...but you will find me tucked in next to the popping embers any day :)
ReplyDeleteNo contest here. My only use for snow is that it's cold enough to put a fire in the woodstove so the house is toasty warm. We keep a fire going 24/7 in the winter.
ReplyDeleteThis one was sooo easy. I can't stand being cold and think snow is beautiful when seen from inside a warm house. I love toasting my toes in front of our pellet stove.
ReplyDeleteWarming up in the fire! I'm always cold. Always.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Warming by the fire is where you'll find me! Snuggled with hubby and pets, good music, cup of tea, good book and keep me there until spring! I'm not a cold weather girl even though I grew up in New England. I'm happy to be here in Florida in the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteToday, a fireside sounds great. I woke up cold. I continue to love your blog, Wendy.
ReplyDeleteDepends on the company I'm with. Not to mention, we don't get snow in AZ, and it's hot enough to never need a fireplace, so what about us Phoenicians?
ReplyDeleteI really don't like cold weather, but I would have to pick playing in the snow because we rarely get any where I live. The last time it snowed and stuck to the ground here was in January 2001.
ReplyDeleteWarming up by the fire. I love fresh air, by my muscles go stiff when I get cold which makes it hard to move and talk. >.<
ReplyDeleteI'm with Joanne. Warming up by the fire with a nice view.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go deep here! I'm going to say that what good is the fire if we're not cold. In fact, without the blowing winds and chilling experiences of life, what use would we have for the warmth and how could we appreciate it? We don't rush to build a cozy fire on a hot summer day. It's often when we're bone-cold that we find the most pleasure from the heat. (Too deep for Saturday morning? Sorry! Had to wake you up!)
ReplyDeleteBOTH! Because there is nothing than warming up by the fire AFTER you've played out in the snow!
ReplyDeleteThat's an easy one for a change. Warming up by the fire for sure!!! I like to watch it snow while sipping hot cocoa by the fire. Now that's awesome! Throw a book in the mix and we're close what heaven must be like in winter.
ReplyDeleteWarming up by the fire! I like playing in the snow--especially with my kids--but I'm wimpy with the cold. I love to be warm! Reading a book by the fire, coiled up with a dog--love it!
