Tree Tributes

I’ve been meaning to write this post for quite some time. There are several people who’ve significantly influenced my faith because of what they choose to blog about and the integrity they pour into each post. Today I’d like to present Tree Tributes (the equivalent of blog awards that you may have seen out and about in blog world) to each of these people. It’s my hope they’ll collect them and if they choose, they can add them to their blog as a reminder that God is using them to bear fruit.

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” ~ Jeremiah 17:7-8

Anne L.B. at Building His Body

Amy Jo at Living a Blessed Life

Jennifer at Getting Down with Jesus

I receive joy from so many of the blogs I follow, gaining insight into the writing world, parenting, even delighting in the day to day events some of you encounter. But today I wanted to give special attention to those who’ve impacted me spiritually. I’d love for you to visit the blogs I mentioned. Encourage these women who so readily encourage.

More unique awards/tributes to come…it really is better to give than to receive!

Check out what I write over at To Live Beautiful later today about loveable idiosyncrasies.

  1. Wendy, I am very touched and humbled by this tribute. In my walk of faith, this is my hope, to be like an oak of righteousness, "a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor."

    You've blessed me today.

You have blessed me more than I can say. My heart's desire is to be used by the Lord to touch others in a way that builds up their faith. In sharing as you have, you humble and honor me. Thank you.

  13. Jennifer, I'm glad you held the blessing today!

Jill, thank you so so much for the kindness in your words! Faith in motion...thoughts that move...you got it!

Terri, and I like it b/c of people like you! Happy 3 today!

Anne, I was on my knees crying out to God after I read one of your posts! He is so alive in you.

Katie, I hope you do visit...they are beautiful!

Joanne, I find if I do things like this it is easier to resist the ugly self-abasing thoughts.

Heather, I've loved every single question you've asked on your blog!

Jessica, way to pass it on!

Jody, I did come up with that idea. I love the idea of a tree representing faith (it's all over the Bible) so I thought it was appropriate. And this verse was a theme for a MOMS group I led.

Danyelle, talk about beautiful--your picture is something!

Cindy, sometimes the word lovely just sounds nice to read out loud. :D

Amy Jo, I feel fed every time I stop at your blog. You are so transparent and real and I love reading how God moves in you!

All of you are a blessing, a rich and unexplainable blessing in my life! Thank you for that and sleep so well!
