things we temporarily lose?

  1. Lions? Courage! Yes. I lose my roar often. As for the brain cells, well, I'm not sure I'll ever get those back! Ha!
    Thanks!

  4. I'd better not lose scissors. My daughter will find them and cut her hair. *groan*

Since you're a writer, I thought I'd mention there's a writers' support group you might be interested in. It's called Writers_on_Writing. If you want to know more, check out my blog. I posted some info about it yesterday. Maybe you know other writers who might want to join? The group's a SUPPORT group, not a critique group for writers 18 years or older.

  11. Drum roll please....brmmbrmm (or at least that's kind of how it sounds in my mind):

I declare Katie the winner. I think she was the closest.
    And now for the ANSWERS:
    1. Keys (I'm proud of all you who got this one. It was tricky. Okay, enough sarcasm I don't like anyway)
    2. Our dog (so pet is right)
    3. Scissors (very good :D )
    4. Yes, Katie...Pride and we lose lots of that around here. (loved how Windsong, you were reminded of losing your lunch :D)
    5. Homework (I like all the answers each of you came up with...answers, focus, faith in ourselves and concentration...we lose those things too)
    6. Books. One night I spent over an hour looking for a very good book I was reading. Toddler = book stealer
    7. Our minds (though I loved the answer Tess gave...brain cells)

Oh, and Rebecca...remember it was only a glimpse of the things we lose...there are far more! :D Glad I'm not alone.

You all kept my brain entertained today. Thank you for that. And Katie, I will post a blog soon with a link to your site for getting the most correct.

I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know each of you through blogging!

  12. Hi there, Wendy,

Well, everyone has already guessed, your contest is over, and frankly I'm glad, because the whole lion thing had me stumped. Now nobody will know how clueless I truly am. LOL

So nice to meet you...I'm glad we met through Nathan's blog. You just never know where you might meet someone. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment.
